Kids Clothes Week (fall 2013) day 1

Es ist soweit. Die Kids Clothes Week ist da. Auf der ganzen Welt nähen Mamas diese Woche wie verrückt an der Herbstgaderobe ihrer Kleinen. Mir hat am Samstag erstmal noch mein Computer 'nen Schrecken eingejagt: Internet und Akku gehen plötzlich nicht mehr. Rein was das Bloggen angeht, also nicht gerade die perfekte Voraussetzung für diese Woche. Doch ich hab festgestellt, dass nicht funktionierendes Internet auch seine Vorteile hat. Es ist erst Dienstag und ich hab schon circa so viel genäht wie ich hoffte nach der ganzen Woche zu haben :) Naja, die Posts werden jedenfalls diese Woche richtig kurz und auch Bildbearbeitung ist nicht drin. Ich muss schon froh sein, dass meine Schwiegerleute um die Ecke wohnen und ich wenigstens kurz ins Internet kann.

It's here. Kids Clothes Week is running and moms all over the world are filling the wardrobes of their children with handmade items. Unfortunately, my computer is not working since saturday. Thus, blogging is hardend quite a bit. But I realized that having no internet can infact be a pro: I have already sewn almost all items that I hoped to sew during the whole week :) Well, the posts this week will be really short and I won't be able to edit the pictures. But I'm lucky in so far that my in-laws live close and I can at least shortly show what I've done. 

Hier ein paar Bilder von zwei Shirts die ich gestern genäht hab. Das erste ist auch gleich mein erster Bimaa-Hoodie. I'm in love ;) Die große Kapuze ist einfach toll. Die gesamte Anleitung ist super und das Ergebnis macht richtig Laune wie ich finde. Um die Ärmel etwas aufzupeppen hab ich Ellenbogenschützer aufgenäht.

Ich verrate nicht zu viel wenn ich euch sag, dass es diese Woche noch weitere 2-3 Bimaas (teilweise in andern Varianten - shawl und infinity cowl) geben wird.

So I got some pics. for you from two shirts that I sewed on monday. The first shirt is my very first Bimaa Hoodie. I'm in love! The oversized hood is just great. The instructions were perfect and the result is just fun. I added some elbow patches. I just eyeballed where to put them and it worked quite well.

I don't reveal to much when I tell you that you'll see this week 2-3 further Bimaas (also the other neck variations: shawl and infinity cowl).

 

 

Oh, eins hab ich wohl ganz vergessen: Der Kleine hasst nichts so sehr wie wenn er was auf dem Kopf hat. Mützen und ähnliches kommen immer sofort runter, aber diese Kapuze geht einfach nicht weg. Das fand er gar nicht gut.

Well, I guess I forgot one thing. Our son hates everything that's on his head. No hat or beanie stays there for more than seconds. He was not amused that he was unable to take the hood down :)

Das zweite Shirt ist wieder mal ein flashback skinny. Ich kann nicht genug gutes über den Schnitt sagen. Mein absoluter GoTo T-Shirt Schnitt. Und das müsst ihr mir jetzt einfach glauben: Das blaue Shirt passt einfach super zu den blauen Augen von unserm Sohnemann.

The second shirt is another flashback skinny. I can't say enough good about the pattern. It really is my goto shirt pattern. And this you just have to believe me: The blue shirt goes perfectly with the blue eyes of our son.
