Ja, ich weiß, der Sommer ist vorbei. Doch ich hab noch soo viel zu zeigen. Schließlich gibt's ja auch ein Leben vor dem Blog und wenigstens einige der Sachen, die ich da so genäht habe, möchte ich euch gerne zeigen. Deshalb gibt's hier auf dem Blog die nächste Zeit noch etwas "summer feeling".
Well, I know: Summer is over. However, there are many things from my "pre-blog-life" that I'd like to show you. Thus, I've decided to let you enjoy some "summer feeling" on my blog during the next weeks.
Hier seht ihr gleich mal mein vielleicht liebstes Outfit überhaupt. R trägt hier eine "Roly-Poly Pinafore" von Imagine Gnats. So super schnell beim zuschneiden und nähen (da nur ein einziges Schnitteil) und so süß anzuschauen! Das Schürzenkleid kann von beiden Seiten getragen werden (Vorteil beim Nähen: Ewiges Versäubern fällt weg). Die gelbe Seite mit den Punkten mag ich am liebsten. Strahlt wie die Sonne. Die nette Birne hab ich übrigens mit Miris Stickmaschine machen dürfen (die Datei ist ein freebie). Danke nochmal, liebe Miriam! Passt damit auch richtig gut zu dem Apfel/Birnen-Stoff des Rocks. Dieser ist Marke Eigenbau: Einfach zwei Rechtecke (ganze Stoffbreite) rechts auf rechts zusammengenäht, oben ein Gummiband eingezogen und unten für den Saum zweimal umgeschlagen.
The first outfit is definitely one of my all-time favorites. It is a Roly-Poly Pinafore by imagine gnats. It is super fast to cut and sew (as there is only one pattern piece) and looks just so cute. The pinafore is fully reversible, which means that all seams are hidden and it is not necessary to finish any seams. I love the yellow side with polka dots. It's just like te sun. I've made the pear on Miri's embroidery machine (You can download the embroidery file for free here). Thanks again, Miri! The pear fits well to the apple/pear fabric of the skirt. The skirt is basically two rectangles (full fabric width) sewn together with an elastic inside the waistband.
Die Fotos sind von unserm Ligurienurlaub dieses Jahr. Hier trägt der beste aller Männer gerade R gefühlte 5000 Stufen zum Hauptplatz von Cervo. Dieses wunderschöne Dörfchen liegt zwar direkt am Meer, aber auch so krass am Hang, dass wir Eltern oben angekommen ganz schön platt waren. Ja, ich auch, denn auf meinem Rücken war der kleine J.
The pictures are from our vacations in Liguria, Italia this summer. Here, you can see my husband carrying R what felt like 5000 steps up to the main square of Cervo. This beautiful village lies right at the sea, but also at the slope of the mountains. Both my husband and I were quite exhausted when we arrived up there. Carrying our kids up there (J was on my back) wasn't that easy...
Aber wie immer in Italien: Ein gutes Essen mit einer San Pellegrino Aranciata, eine beeindruckende Kirche, und die Aussicht auf's Meer haben uns bestens entlohnt.
But as always in Italy: A perfect dinner with some San Pellegrino Aranciata, a impressive church and the view over the sea were totally worth it.
Für die andere Seite des Schürzenkleidchens hab ich das Schnittmuster in Vorder- und Rückseite getrennt. Vorne ist nun ein schöner Rehstoff und hinten viele Retroblümchen zu sehen.
For the other side of the pinafore I've split the pattern for the front and back. I've used a dear fabric for the front and some "retro" flowers for the back.
Sehr schön ist die kleine Kellerfalte vorne.
The pleat at the front is a sweet little detail.
Zu dieser Seite passend hab ich eine "Bubble Pocket Short" von Elegance and Elephants genäht. Auch ein wunderschöner Schnitt. Toll vor allem sind die großen Taschen in denen im Urlaub ganz viele Muscheln Platz gefunden haben...
I further sewed some bubble pocket shorts by Elegance and Elephants to go with this side of the pinafore. Another amazing pattern. Especially the big pockets are a pro. R carried lots and lots of shells in them.
Die Hose macht find ich richtig was her. In der Anleitung wird sogar erklärt wie man ein Knopflochgummiband einnäht, damit die Hose in der Weite verstellbar ist. Ich hatte jedoch keines da und hab somit mit normalem Gummi gearbeitet.
I think that the shorts are really special. I would have loved to try the adjustable elastic waistline, but I didn' have suitable elastic on hand.
Ich kann beide Schnitte wirklich voll und ganz empfehlen. Die Erklärungen sind beide male topp und schön mit Schritt-für-Schritt Bildern. Ist also durchaus auch für jeden der leidlich englisch kann zu schaffen. Das Schürzenkleidchen ist ein Anfängerprojekt, die Hose dauert länger, ist aber auch nicht so schwierig. Vielleicht für die etwas fortgeschrittenere Näherin.
I can absolutely recommend both patterns. The instructions are very detailed with lots and lots of pictures. The pinafore could also be sewn by a beginner while for the shorts you should think of yourself as an - at last - advanced beginner or better intermediate seamstress.
Und zum Abschluss noch ein Bild, das ich euch einfach nicht vorenthalten kann: "Mama, Schluss jetzt mit der ewigen Fotografiererei!"
A last one that I simply have to show you: "Mama, please finally stop taking pictures!"
Alle Stoffe sind von Buttinette. Obwohl das Teil schon einige Male gewaschen wurde, sieht's noch ganz gut aus. Hab aber leider auch schon anderes mit deren Stoffen erlebt. Ist ein bißchen wie im Lotto. Wahrscheinlich besser geeignet sind die Stoffe für Kissen oder so. Halt für etwas, das man nicht so oft wäscht...
All fabrics are from buttinette. I've washed the pinafore and shorts several times and they are still good. However, I've also had other experiences with their fabrics. To be safe I'd rather use them for pillows or other things that don't get washed as often as clothes...
