Mara blouse (PR&P sewalong)

 

 

Diese Woche startet die neue Project Run and Play Staffel. Das Thema ist "Winter Wonderland". Ich hatte hochgesteckte Ziele für diese und auch für die anderen Wochen. Ich wollte mich für den sewalong richtig reinhängen. Doch dann kam die email von Heidi. Ihr wisst nicht wovon ich spreche, dann schaut euch kurz diesen Post an. Seitdem hab ich nichts anderes als mein Projekt für die roots Serie genäht. Viele, viele Stunden Arbeit - aber mehr dazu am Freitag. Trotzdem wollte ich PR&P nicht völlig an mir vorbei ziehen lassen und hab mich entschieden das Thema etwas neu zu interpretieren: Wenn man mal das "land" in Winter Wonderland weglässt, bleibt "Winter" und "Wonder" und was ist mehr Winter und Wunder als Weihnachten? Somit ist mein Beitrag zum sewalong R.s Kleid für Weihnachten.

 

This week the new season of Project Run and Play starts. The theme is "Winter Wonderland". I big plans in my head for this and the other weeks. I wanted to really dive into the sealong. However, then came the email from Heidi. You don't know what I'm talking about? Then check out this post. Since then I only sewed the outfit for the roots series. Many, many hours of work - but more about this on Friday. Anyways, I still wanted to take part in PR&P and decided to interpret the theme a little bit more freely. I just left the "land" out. If you have Winter and Wonder what is more like that than christmas? So, I give you Rs christmas dress...

Das Kleid hab ich mit dem Schnitt "Mara" von Compagnie M. genäht. Marte erklärt darin auch sehr schön wie man den Blusenschnitt zu einem leicht ausgestellten Kleid umändern kann. Ich hatte den Schnitt bei Marte gewonnen und mich schon sehr darauf gefreut ihn endlich zu verwenden. Und völlig zu recht. Schnitt und Anleitung sind nur vom Feinsten und das Kleidchen ist richtig schön geworden. Paspel und Biesen - einfach schicki... Was für ein Glück, dass ich auch noch einen weiteren Schnitt - Louisa - gewonnen habe. Der findet auch bald Verwendung...

For the dress I used the " Mara" pattern by Compagnie M. Marte also gives instructions for how to change the pattern to an A-line dress. I won the dress pattern and was looking forward to sewing it. And it so didn't disappoint. Pattern and instructions are fantastic and the dress turned out really nice. Piping and pintucks - what's not to love about this... How fun that I also won the Louisa pattern. I'll definitely sew that one soon, too.

Der Stoff (Baby-Cord) ist übrigens vom Herbststoffmarkt in München. Ich hab noch ne kleine einfache Hirsch-Applikation aufgenäht, da meine Kleine immer ein bißchen Schnicki-Schnacki möchte ;)

The fabric (soft corduroy) is from the autumn fabric market in Munich. I added a little simple deer application as my daughter always wants something fun on her clothes...
