Tomorrow is fashion revolution day to rise awareness within the fashion industry regarding for example work environment of the seamstresses in the third world. People are encouraged to wear an item of clothing inside out and ask brands/retailers, ‘Who Made Your Clothes?'. Abby (Things for Boys), Celina (Petit a Petit and Family) and Laura (Behind the Hedgerow) are organizing a virutal flashmob for the sewing community where we wear our handmade garments inside out! Dafür sollen möglichst viele Leute ein Kleidungsstück auf links tragen und Marken/Verkäufer fragen "Wer hat eure Kleider gemacht?". From May 5th-11th Stacey Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy Crafts is doing a blog tour about typography in fashion. I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun. There's also a sewalong. I already know which shirt I'm going to make.
