The Lil Luxe Collection Alley Cat Romper (+ a giveaway)

 
Recently I was lucky enough to be chosen for another pattern test. This time by Jessica from Lil Luxe Collection for her Alley Cat Romper which features a really unique design with a snug bodice and a flowing wide body.

Vor kurzem hatte ich wieder Gelegenheit einen Schnitt probezunähen. Diesmal für Jessica von Lil Luxe Collection und zwar ihren Alley Cat Romper, dessen Design wirklich besonders und ungewöhnlich ist. Das Oberteil liegt sehr eng an während der untere Teil super weit und fließend ist.

 

I must confess that during sewing I was far from sure whether I actually liked it or not. And don't get me wrong. The instructions were great. The construction of the bodice is something that I haven't seen before, but that - once I understood what I was supposed to do - was so easy to do and gave the perfect result. I'm pretty sure that I'll use this method for all my future fully lined bodices! No, the instructions were really good, but the body of the romper really is huge and I was a bit afraid that my girl would look totally silly in it.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich mir während dem Nähen nicht so sicher war ob mir das Produkt gefallen würde oder nicht. Versteht mich nicht falsch: Die Anleitung ist perfekt. Vor allem beim Nähen des Oberteils hab ich einen neue Methode gelernt, die absolut genial ist. Hat zwar zuerst etwas gedauert bis ich kapiert hab wie's geht, aber dann war das so genial und einfach. Werd ich in Zukunft immer machen wenn ich ein gefüttertes Oberteil nähe. Wirklich, die Anleitung ist gut, aber das Unterteil ist sehr riesig und ich hatte Angst, dass R darin vollkommen verloren ausschaut.

However, once she tried it on, I liked it more and more. I'm not going to lie: I'm not as much in love with it as some of the other testers who sewed several versions within just some days, but it really is a fun and unique design that calls for running, jumping, being crazy. All things that I fully encourage my girl to do and be! Nonetheless, it will need some time to see whether my girl actually wears it or not.

Als sie den romper jedoch probierte, fand ich den romper eigentlich ganz gut. Ich will euch nicht anlügen: So begeistert wie manche von den anderen Probenähmädels, die gleich in Massenproduktion gingen, bin ich nicht, aber das Design ist wirklich besonders und der romper ruft regelrecht danach rumzutoben und ein bißchen verrückt zu sein. Alles Sachen, die ich voll und ganz unterstütze ;)

 

Also, judging from the other tester pics (of which some really are fantastic), I have the feeling that this design can really give the coolest outcome if your girl is that little fashionista with the right attitude. Außerdem, ausgehend von den anderen Probenähbildern (einige sind wirklich fantastisch), glaube ich dass der romper wirklich supercool rüberkommen kann, wenn eure Kleine die dazu passende Modelausstrahlung hat. Schaut euch unbedingt die anderen Bilder an!
