Today, we would normally have Amanda from Kitschycoo here for the next sew fantastic blogs interview. However, life (family, job, brick and mortar shop etc.) happend and she couldn't manage to finish the interview in time. Don't worry, she will still do it, just a little later. Today instead I have some pics from our recent trip to the Alps for you.
We spent
the first weekend in September in the Alps, more precisely in the valley
of the river Lech. Friends of us have a cottage there and we went their
together with my parents in law and my sister in law and her family.
The weather wasn't perfect, but with two little kids we can't do big
hiking tours anyways. Instead we mainly enjoyed being together. We made a
little trip to a "Alm" (i.e. a cottage where you can have lunch or
drink something) and visited all the playgrounds nearby. There was a new
one right at the river Lech that we didn't know so far. It had
different things for the kids to climb on, a slide and a little houses
made from willow branches. We stayed there for several hours just
playing and there might have been a certain husband who couldn't stop
reading his book ;) He loves to read, but, oh man, how can anyone read
that slowly?
Ronja wore a new hoodie that I had made for her only shortly before the trip. The pattern is from ottobre. I didn't have enough of the fox/owl fabric (when did my daughter get to tall to cut pattern pieces from 0.5m of fabric?) and so mixed it up with some other fabrics from my stash. I'm actually quite happy that I had to do so. The colours in the fabrics match it other perfectly and I think it turned out super cute. Plus, R just loves it. It's comfortable, with beautiful colours and great fit. What's not to like about it?
And obviously a trip to the Valley of the Lech wouldn't be perfect without actually visiting the Lech, throwing stones in the water and watching wood travel down the river...
I love the photos of your beautiful family: the playground looks so cool: I wish I could go there with my kids! I love that hoodie: do you own a serger or do you make such marvelous things with knit on a "normal" machine???
AntwortenLöschenYou should make a short trip to the valley of the lech the next years. We can meet there and visit several cool places together. I'm glad that you like the hoodie. It's all sewn with my elna sewing machine. Last year i got a walking food for it but i never use it. I get better along without it!
