Some time ago, I was chatting with my dear friend. Sophie from C'est la Vie. She was really sad as she wasn't able to work part time anymore and had to give up almost all her me-time. She was left with only 45 minutes each week and so not looking forward to the coming school year (she's a teacher). I was so sorry for her and decided to do her some good. I teamed up with some other blogger friends. We decided to send her something little, maybe a litte pre-cut project that she would be able to finish within her 45 minutes.

I still remember very well, the email that she wrote me when she received my mail. I felt like I hadn't just cheered her up a little, but that my little parcel really helped her to feel so much better, to feel loved and to look at life from another perspective. I'm so glad that I could do this. Sophie really has become a dear friend to me (even though we have never met) and I just want her to be happy. 

Vor einiger Zeit hab ich mit meiner liebe Freundin Sophie von C'est la Vie gechattet. Sie war sehr traurig, da sie nicht mehr Teilzeit arbeiten konnte und somit fast ihre gesamte Zeit für sich selbst aufgeben musste. Sie hatte nur noch 45 Minuten jede Woche für sich und freute sich deshalb überhaupt nicht auf das neue Schuljahr (sie ist Lehrerin). Mir tat sie wahnsinnig Leid und ich wollte ihr deshalb etwas Gutes tun. Ich hab mich mit ein paar Bloggerfreunden zusammengetan. Wir haben uns entschieden ihr alle etwas kleines zu schicken, vielleicht ein bereits zugeschnittenes Nähprojekt, das sie dann innerhalb ihrer 45 Minuten fertigstellen kann.

Ich kann mich noch sehr gut an die e-mail erinnern, die sie mir geschrieben hat als sie meine Post bekam. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ich sie nicht nur ein bißchen aufgebaut hab, sondern dass mein kleines Geschenk ihr half sich so viel besser zu fühlen, sich geliebt zu fühlen und ihr Leben aus einer anderen Perspektive zu betrachten. Auch wenn ich Sophie (noch) nie getroffen habe, ist sie doch schon eine wichtige Freundin für mich geworden und ich möcht einfach nur, dass sie glücklich ist.

How to alter any basic bodice pattern to a Dirndl pattern

 

Hallo ihr! Erstmal möchte ich kurz "Wow!" sagen. Danke für eure lieben Kommentare und das gigantische Feedback zu meinem letzten Post. Ich freu mich riesig, dass euch das Dirndl, das ich für meine Tochter für die Roots Sewing Series genäht habe, so gut gefällt. Was? Ihr wisst nicht wovon ich rede? Dann schaut euch erst mal meinen letzten Post an (dort gibt's auch ein tolles giveaway für euch)! Heute will ich euch nun zeigen wie ich den Vroni-Dirndl-Schnitt von Mondbresal geändert hab um auf diese Dirndl-Variante zu kommen. Ihr braucht dafür nicht unbedingt den Vroni-Schnitt als Ausgang. Das geht eigentlich mit jedem Basis-Oberteil-Schnitt eines Kleides (kostenlos gibt's zum Beispiel den hier bei der Cottage Mama: party dress), wobei ihr dann eben oft auch noch den Ausschnitt anpassen müsst.

I'm so glad that you like the Dirndl that I sewed for my daughter for the Roots Sewing Series. What? You don't know what I'm talking about? Then check out my last post (there's also a fun giveaway waiting for you!). Today I want to show you how I altered the bodice pattern piece of the Vroni-Dirndl by Mondbresal to get the kind of Dirndl that I was going for. You don't necessarily have to have the Vroni pattern, but could do this with any basic bodice pattern piece of a dress (e.g. this free one by the cottage mama: party dress). However, you will then also have to change the neckline.
