KCW day 3 (& Project Run and Play sew along) - KCW Tag 3

Zusätzlich zur Kids Clothes Week ist diese Woche auch Refashion/Upcycle Week bei Project Run and Play. Ich wollte auch wieder was beitragen. Ich hab auch einige Sachen zum Upcyclen zu Hause, aber das sind hauptsächlich einfarbige Shirts, die ich als Kombistoff verwenden. Nicht unbedingt das passende für die Challenge. Aber ich hatte noch diesen recht langweiligen lila Kapuzenpulli rumliegen und im Hinterkopf die vielen tollen Dinosaurierhoodies, die ich in den letzten Jahren im www gesehen habe. Da sowohl der Papa als auch die Kleine außerdem große Drachenfans sind, hab ich mich also dran gemacht einen Drachen zu nähen. Das zweite Kostüm diese Woche (hier findet ihr das Zebra) und wenn alles glatt läuft noch nicht das letzte.

This week is not only kids clothes week, but also refashion/upcycle week at Project Run and Play. I wanted to also contribute something. I do have some old t-shirts in my recycle bin. However, they are plain and boring and I just use them in combination with fun print. Not exactly what I was wanted for the challenge. However, I had this plain and boring purple hoodie lying around and thought about all those fun dinosaur hoodies that I saw in the internet in the last years. As both my daughter and my husband love dragons, I decided to sew one. The second costume for KCW (here you can find the zebra) and if everything works out it still won' be the last one.

Es ist wieder soweit: Kids Clothes Week. Eine Woche nähen Mamas rund um den Erdball Klamotten für ihre Kleinen (und Großen). Auch ich bin wieder dabei. Wie beim letzten Mal werd ich mich auch diesmal wieder hauptsächlich auf's Nähen und nicht so sehr aufs Bloggen und Fotografieren konzentrieren. Also verzeiht bitte die wenig professionellen Bilder...

It's that time again: Kids Clothes Week. For one week moms all around the globe sew clothes for ther kids. I'm in, too. Like last time I'll concentrate on sewing and not so much on blogging an taking pics. So please excuse the far from perfect pics...

Schon ein Jahr alt (20 Dinge über dich) - 1st birthday (20 things about you)

 
Gestern wurde unser kleiner Mann ein Jahr alt. Wie immer zu solchen Tagen, sind wir ganz baff wie die Zeit vergeht. Und da das ja sicherlich so weitergeht, hab ich mir wieder etwas durch den Kopf gehen lassen an was wir uns wohl auch in ein paar Jahren gern noch erinnern möchten. Also: 20 Dinge über unseren kleinen großen 1 Jahr alten J.:

Yesterday was our little man's first birthday. As always at such days, we are stunned how fast time flies by. And that won't change. One day they are little and the next they are telling you how not cool you are :) So, thought about what we want to remember about him also in some years. Es wird mal wieder Zeit für eine runde Inspiration. Ich hab wieder viele tolle links für euch. Vor allem den ersten muss einfach jeder, der gern tolle Sachen für Kinder näht anschauen! How to alter any basic bodice pattern to a Dirndl pattern

 

Hallo ihr! Erstmal möchte ich kurz "Wow!" sagen. Danke für eure lieben Kommentare und das gigantische Feedback zu meinem letzten Post. Ich freu mich riesig, dass euch das Dirndl, das ich für meine Tochter für die Roots Sewing Series genäht habe, so gut gefällt. Was? Ihr wisst nicht wovon ich rede? Dann schaut euch erst mal meinen letzten Post an (dort gibt's auch ein tolles giveaway für euch)! Heute will ich euch nun zeigen wie ich den Vroni-Dirndl-Schnitt von Mondbresal geändert hab um auf diese Dirndl-Variante zu kommen. Ihr braucht dafür nicht unbedingt den Vroni-Schnitt als Ausgang. Das geht eigentlich mit jedem Basis-Oberteil-Schnitt eines Kleides (kostenlos gibt's zum Beispiel den hier bei der Cottage Mama: party dress), wobei ihr dann eben oft auch noch den Ausschnitt anpassen müsst.

I'm so glad that you like the Dirndl that I sewed for my daughter for the Roots Sewing Series. What? You don't know what I'm talking about? Then check out my last post (there's also a fun giveaway waiting for you!). Today I want to show you how I altered the bodice pattern piece of the Vroni-Dirndl by Mondbresal to get the kind of Dirndl that I was going for. You don't necessarily have to have the Vroni pattern, but could do this with any basic bodice pattern piece of a dress (e.g. this free one by the cottage mama: party dress). However, you will then also have to change the neckline.

I had the unbelievable luck to get asked by Heidi from Elegance and Elephants to participate in her Roots Sewing Series. When I got her email I was pretty much freaking out. Heidi asks me? That's totally crazy ;) However, I decided to accept this chance and challenge and I must say I'm so happy I did. I have never before sewn so many hours just for one single outfit (I didn't take the time, but I think it must have been somewhere between 15 and 20 hours), included so many details, ripped so many seams. But, I have also never before been so proud about an outfit ;) (So please be aware: Picture overload...)

Diese Woche startet die neue Project Run and Play Staffel. Das Thema ist "Winter Wonderland". Ich hatte hochgesteckte Ziele für diese und auch für die anderen Wochen. Ich wollte mich für den sewalong richtig reinhängen. Doch dann kam die email von Heidi. Ihr wisst nicht wovon ich spreche, dann schaut euch kurz diesen Post an. Seitdem hab ich nichts anderes als mein Projekt für die roots Serie genäht. Viele, viele Stunden Arbeit - aber mehr dazu am Freitag. Trotzdem wollte ich PR&P nicht völlig an mir vorbei ziehen lassen und hab mich entschieden das Thema etwas neu zu interpretieren: Wenn man mal das "land" in Winter Wonderland weglässt, bleibt "Winter" und "Wonder" und was ist mehr Winter und Wunder als Weihnachten? Somit ist mein Beitrag zum sewalong R.s Kleid für Weihnachten.
