This however ment that the list of things that I want to show you grew and grew, making it even harder to start. Well, you get the point... Wow, jetzt wird's aber wirklich mal wieder Zeit für einen weekend sewing post. Es dauert wirklich ne ganz schöne Zeit die vorzubereiten und deshalb hab ich das immer etwas vor mir hergeschoben. Dadurch wurde die Liste an Sachen, die ich euch zeigen wollte, aber immer größer und es immer noch schwieriger zu starten. Tja, selbst schuld... Ich wünsch euch jedenfalls viel Spaß beim surfen und nachnähen. Diesmal ist sicher für jeden was dabei.

Der Wahnsinn - endlich mal wieder ein Weekend Sewing Post. Statt Collagen zu basteln und Bloggerinnen anzuschreiben, ob ich ihre Bilder verwenden darf, wollt ich in letzter Zeit einfach lieber vor der Nähmaschine hocken. Jetzt hab ich mir jedoch endlich wieder die Zeit genommen und so viele tolle Sachen für euch gesammelt. Und vielleicht gibt's auch den nächsten schon bald. Hab grad so viele kostenlose Schnitte entdeckt, die ich mit euch teilen möchte!

Wow, finally another weekend sewing post. During the last weeks I rather sat in front of the sewing machine then making collages or asking bloggers if I can use there pics. But now I took the time and have here some great links for you. And the next weekend sewing post might be soon as I found several free patterns that I want to share with you!

 

Zuerst nochmal ein Termin im weitesten Sinne: Bei Kestrel Makes kann man sich für einen Spring Sewing Swap anmelden. Sie stellt immer zwei Bloggerinnen zusammen, die dann jeweils für die anderefür ca. 25-30 Euro eine kleines Nähpaket zusammenstellen und ihr schicken. Wollt schon immer mal bei sowas mitmachen und hab ich dementsprechend angemeldet. Macht doch auch mit, damit ich nicht die einzige aus der Kindernähecke bin ;)

First I have another "date" if you can call it so: At Kestrel Makes you can sign up for Spring Sewing Swap. She pairs two bloggers and each of them packs a little sewing packet for the other and sends it to her. I think that sounds like a lot of fun! What do you say? Are you in? I already signed up and I'd be super happy to not be the only sewer from the kids sewing corner!

Tja, was passiert wenn man den Post fertig schreibt und dann vergisst zu veröffentlichen? Richtig, gar nichts. Dementsprechend diesmal ein stark verspäteter weekend sewing post ;)
Oh, ich hab wieder so viele schöne Sachen für euch. Z. B. die kostenlosen Schnitte hab ich schon auf meinem Rechner und werd ich in nächster Zeit mit Sicherheit nähen! Ich hab wiedermal ein paar schöne Sachen für euch zusammengestellt. Schaut euch unbedingt diesen Link an. Hier haben ein Haufen Blogger eine Art Homage an Celina von Petit a Petit and Family zusammengestellt. Celinas Blog ist auch einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsblogs (hab schon mehrmals Sachen von ihr im weekend sewing vorgestellt) und was die ganzen anderen Mädels da auf die Beine gestellt haben ist einfach wunderschön.

Außerdem möcht ich euch noch kurz darauf hinweisen, dass das secret squirrel Gewinnspiel morgen ausläuft. Also los versucht noch schnell euer Glück!

In den kommenden Wochen werd ich mich wahrscheinlich etwas rar machen. Ich hab schon seit Monaten diese großen Pläne im Hinterkopf und mich entschieden, die jetzt endlich umzusetzen. Seid gespannt!

Weekend sewing #13

Dieser Post ist seit einer ganzen Weile in der Vorbereitung und dann hat ihn doch die book review vom letzten Post noch überholt und ich ganz vergessen, dass ich das neue Jahr somit völlig igonoriert habe. Deshalb möchte ich euch allen nun noch ein ganz tolles neues Jahr wünschen. Habt ihr viele gute Vorsätze? Ich bin was das angeht immer sehr zurückhaltend, aber so ein paar Ziele setzt man sich ja doch immer bzw. hat Ideen was man im nächsten Jahr so vor hat. Bei mir geht's ab Februar ja wieder nach München an die Uni. Freu mich schon darauf mal wieder ein bißchen Gehirnjogging zu betreiben, Versuche zu machen, Steine zu untersuchen, Konferenzen zu besuchen, paper zu schreiben, usw. - eben ein Wissenschaftler zu sein ;) Ab da wird's spannend wie viel Zeit ich noch für den Blog und die Näherei hab, aber das wird sich schon finden. Ganz von der Bildfläche werd ich sicherlich nicht verschwinden. Hab ja auch die Zugfahrten zum Blogposts schreiben und außerdem einige tolle Ideen was ich machen möchte... 

This post has been in preparation for quite some time and then I even posted the book review first and totally forgot to mention the new year. Well, I of course want to wish you a really happy new year. Do you have many resolutions? I'm not so much into resolutions, but also do have some goals and ideas for the new year. In February I'll get back to Munich to the university. I'm really looking forward to using my brain, doing experiments, investigating some rocks, visiting conferences, writing papers etc. - well, to being a scientist again ;) I don't know how much time I'll then have left for blogging and sewing, but I definetely won't disappear totally. I have the train rides to write some blog posts and so many fun ideas what I want to do...

Weekend Sewing #12 and "big news"

Na, habt ihr die Weihnachtstage gut überstanden? Wir hatten ein paar super schöne Tage mit Familientreffen, gutem Essen, vielen Plätzchen, Duplo-Eisenbahn sowie "Das magische Labyrinth" spielen. Ende letzter Woche hab ich mir dann mal wieder die Zeit genommen mich durch meine Blogliste zu wühlen und ein paar schöne Sachen für euch gefunden. Wegen ein paar technischer Problemchen gibt's das weekend sewing aber nun etwas verspätet bzw. sehr früh. Viel Spaß! Achja, und rutscht morgen alle schön rüber und habt dann ein wunderbares neues Jahr.

Willkommen zu einem weiteren weekend sewing post. Es würde einfach zu lange dauern bis ich von allen Bloggern das OK hab, dass ich ihre Bilder verwenden darf. Aber auch so wünsche ich euch viel Spaß beim stöbern.

It would take too much time to ask permission to publish other blogger's pics... Nonetheless I hope you'll enjoy what I gathered for you.

Weekend sewing #9

Puh, was für eine Woche. Chaos wegen der Arbeit, krankes Kind und stets schlechtes Wetter, so dass ich auch keine Fotos von den Sachen machen konnte, die schon seit langem fertig sind und gebloggt werden wollen. Naja, vielleicht hat der Wettergott ja nächste Woche mal ein Einsehen...

Zumindest etwas blog lesen ging aber doch und so gibt's wenigstens 'nen neuen weekend sewing post für Euch und zwar diesmal endlich mit Bildern (sofern die Bloggerinnen damit einverstanden waren bzw. mir rechtzeitig geantwortet haben). Macht gleich viel mehr Spaß! Auch bei mir war dieses Wochenende "weekend sewing" angesagt. Hab mich mit 5 weiteren Mädels gestern zum Nähtag getroffen. Danke Mädels für die tolle Zeit. Mehr dazu gibt's im Laufe der Woche.

Puh, what a week. A lot of chaos connected to my work, an ill baby and all time bad weather and thus, not even the chance to take pics of those things that I've sewn already some time ago and that are waiting to be blogged. Let's hope the weather will be better next week...

At least I was able o check out some blogs and thus, have a new weekend sewing post for you - this time finally with pictures (at least if the original bloggers agreed and answered me in time...). This makes it much more fun! I also had my "weekend sewing" yesterday. I met with 5 other girls for a whole day of sewing together. Thank you girls for the fun. I'll hopefully be able to show you what I sewed next week (again let's pray for better weather...)!

Film petit

Wenn ihr auch nur einer einzigen der Sachen, die ich euch hier zeige nachgehen wollt, dann nehmt diese hier: Film petit ist einfach fabelhaft. Jessica von A little gray und Kristin von Skirt as Top nähen ca. einmal pro Monat mit wechselnden Gastbloggern (diesmal Rae von Made by Rae) Klamotten aus Filmen nach, die dann ihre Kinder modeln indem sie Szenen aus dem Film nachstellen. Diesmal geht's um "Zoolander" und die Fotos sind einfach zum schreien. Ich hatte vor lauter Lachen Tränen in den Augen!

* The pattern blog tour of the Winter-Wonderland collection of Pattern Anthology is still running: Here my highlights: This hat by Jess, the Sewing Rabbit, I'd absolutely wear in my size and the lace inlet in her Sweet Bonnie Top is stunning. And Lexi from Lexi Made, who won 2nd place in the last season of project run and play, outdid herself again: She not only sewed 5 of the 8 patterns (two of them even two times for her twin daughters), but also shows how to make a beautiful winter/x-mas photo session in your garage. At Feather's Flights you can see what I think is the coolest blazer ever!

* Annie truely is the queen of application: This bag in the lower jaw of the appliqued viking head is just too fun.
* This self-made baby carrier is more beautiful than almost every carrier that can be bought out there!

Dieses Wochenende kommt das "weekend sewing" mit etwas Verspätung, da sich an der Computer-Front leider immer noch nichts tut.
