Habt ihr schon mal was von der Sew Geeky Serie gehört? Definitiv eine der coolsten Blogserien bei der sich am 25. jedes Monats ein Haufen Geeks zusammen tut und zu einem Thema etwas näht. Was gab's nicht schon alles: StarWars, Studio Ghibli, Marvel vs. DC… Ausgedacht haben sich das ganze Ari von MaxCalifornia und Kat von Sew Chibi. Beides sind Blogs denen man einfach folgen MUSS wenn man gern mal was anderes, was verrücktes, was eigenes sehen will und gern auch mal persönliches liest. Ari hab ich auch im Rahmen meiner Sew Fantastic Blogs Reihe interviewt.

Have you heard of Sew Geeky? Pretty much one of the coolest blog series ever. The 25th of each month several geeks get virtually together to sew something to a geeky theme. There was Star Wars, Studio Ghibli, Marvel vs DC .. The whole thing is brainwork of Ari from Max California and Kat from Sew Chibi which I'm sure you all know or if not you probably live behind the moon and aren't interested in any things geeky, right? Well if you still are these are your go to blogs. You can find anything crazy, special, different there, mixed with some to the heart writing. I also interviewed Ari for my Sew Fantastic Blogs Series.

Hallo allerseits, ich hoff ihr bringt etwas Zeit mit? Denn das hier wird ein eher langer Post. Aber einer der sich auch rentiert – zumindest wenn ihr kostenlose Schnitte mögt – und davon geh ich doch mal aus!

Shortly ago I told you about our wonderful trip to Sweden and about our time at "Noisy Village". Today I want to continue with my travel tips for Sweden. But I also want to throw in some really fun boy sewing. I've teamed up with Stacey from boy, oh boy, oh boy crafts and with Monika from Schneidernmeistern. Monika was kind enough to give both of us her wonderful "Elbsegler" pattern, which is a pattern for a cool and charming boys hat (she now sells also an english version!!!). What this has to do with our trip to Sweden? Well, I guess I will have to start at the beginning:

Vor kurzem hab ich euch von unserem Urlaub in Schweden sowie unserem Bullerbü-Besuch erzählt. Heute soll's damit weiter gehen. Aber heute werde ich auch noch ein bißchen Jungsnähen mit reinmischen. Ich hab mich mit Stacey von boy, oh boy, oh boy crafts sowie Monika von Schneidernmeistern zusammen getan. Monika war so nett Stacey und mir ihr wunderbares "Elbsegler" Schnittmuster zur Verfügung zu stellen. Was das jetzt mit Schweden zu tun hat? Tja, ich fang wohl am besten von vorne an:

KCW Tag? Pippi Langstrumpf Kostüm - KCW day? Pippi Longstocking costume

 

Pippi Langstrumpf braucht sicher keine extra Vorstellung. Sicher wird sie nicht nur von unserer Kleinen heiß und innig geliebt. Naja, wenn ich ehrlich bin selbst hier in unserer Familie nicht nur von der Kleinen :) Auch ich bin immer noch ein großer Astrid Lindgren Fan. So groß, dass ich mich wohl sogar mehr als der Rest der Familie auf unseren Urlaub in Schweden dieses Jahr freue: Jeweils eine Woche Vimmerby (mit Astrid-Lindgren-Welt, Geburtshaus von Astrid Lindgren, Schauplätze vieler Filme) sowie auf den Schären vor Stockholm (noch jemand da draußen, der Ferien auf Saltkrokan am schönsten von allen Astrid Lindgren Büchern und Filmen findet?). 

Pippi Longstocking doesn't have to be introduced, right? I'm sure not only our little one loves her. In fact she's not the only fan in our family. I still love everything from Astrid Lindgren (the author that wrote Pippi Longstocking and yes she wrote many more amazing books!). In fact I'm so big a fan that I'm probably the one who is most excited about our vacation in Sweden this year. We will stay in Vimmerby (Astrid-Lindgren-World, the birth house of Astrid Lindgren, locations of the movies) and in the archipelago next to Stockholm (anyone out there who loves Astrid Lindgren's book "Seacrow Island"?).

KCW day 3 (& Project Run and Play sew along) - KCW Tag 3

Zusätzlich zur Kids Clothes Week ist diese Woche auch Refashion/Upcycle Week bei Project Run and Play. Ich wollte auch wieder was beitragen. Ich hab auch einige Sachen zum Upcyclen zu Hause, aber das sind hauptsächlich einfarbige Shirts, die ich als Kombistoff verwenden. Nicht unbedingt das passende für die Challenge. Aber ich hatte noch diesen recht langweiligen lila Kapuzenpulli rumliegen und im Hinterkopf die vielen tollen Dinosaurierhoodies, die ich in den letzten Jahren im www gesehen habe. Da sowohl der Papa als auch die Kleine außerdem große Drachenfans sind, hab ich mich also dran gemacht einen Drachen zu nähen. Das zweite Kostüm diese Woche (hier findet ihr das Zebra) und wenn alles glatt läuft noch nicht das letzte.

This week is not only kids clothes week, but also refashion/upcycle week at Project Run and Play. I wanted to also contribute something. I do have some old t-shirts in my recycle bin. However, they are plain and boring and I just use them in combination with fun print. Not exactly what I was wanted for the challenge. However, I had this plain and boring purple hoodie lying around and thought about all those fun dinosaur hoodies that I saw in the internet in the last years. As both my daughter and my husband love dragons, I decided to sew one. The second costume for KCW (here you can find the zebra) and if everything works out it still won' be the last one.

Es ist wieder soweit: Kids Clothes Week. Eine Woche nähen Mamas rund um den Erdball Klamotten für ihre Kleinen (und Großen). Auch ich bin wieder dabei. Wie beim letzten Mal werd ich mich auch diesmal wieder hauptsächlich auf's Nähen und nicht so sehr aufs Bloggen und Fotografieren konzentrieren. Also verzeiht bitte die wenig professionellen Bilder...

It's that time again: Kids Clothes Week. For one week moms all around the globe sew clothes for ther kids. I'm in, too. Like last time I'll concentrate on sewing and not so much on blogging an taking pics. So please excuse the far from perfect pics...
