KID SHORTS Week (7) and a giveaway / KID SHORTS Woche (7) und ein Gewinnspiel

It's day 7, i.e. the last day of KID SHORTS Week (day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). And what a week it has been. I really hope that you liked the different shorts that I sewed with this super variable pattern. The last one is yet another favorite. I sewed the 18 mt racer shorts for J, who is now 16 months old. I used the super beautiful Pluma knit from lillestoff (design by lilalotta). I again left the pattern as is even though it is originally for wovens. I chose black bias tape to finish the side seam and hem and went with the full elastic in the waistband. I love the flat front version, too, but as he will always wear a shirt above it, I didn't bother. I think he looks super sweet in his new shorts.

I paired the shorts with a black-white striped tank that I sewed using the Blank Tank Pattern by Blank Slate Patterns, which you will by now know is one of my favorite ever pattern companies. Again the pattern was a breeze to sew – if only the thin jersey (from the fabric market in M) wouldn't have been so hard to sew (don't look to close at the neckline and the stripe matching at the side seams). Can you stand how charming he looks in his new tank and the H&M cowboy hat (which is in fact a bit too small, but who cares)? Those arms and that little belly - ah...

So now it's your last chance to enter the giveaway to win one of the three patterns that Dana generously offered. The giveaway close at midnight central european time and I will announce the winners tomorrow!
